What got you interested in working out?

Growing up, I watched my two older brothers compete in high level athletics. I always dreamed of being like them! From as young as I can remember, I was involved in some sort of athletic sport and had a very active lifestyle.

What got you interested in competing?

In middle school, my track coach was a figure competitor and I thought she was absolutely stunning. That was my first exposure to competing. From a young age, I dreamed of stepping on stage myself.

Who was the most influential person/group that made you want to workout?

The most influential group that led me to get involved in athletics at an early age were definitely my brothers. They pushed me to be better and always encouraged me to be strong, healthy, and athletic. They played tennis, ran track, and frequently hit the gym to lift weights. I often went to the gym with my parents and brothers when I was in elementary and middle school. They all inspired me to do the best I could in every athletic endeavor.

Where do you currently workout?

I currently workout at Beyond Limits Training in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

How long have you been competing?

I have been competing since 2014. I started bodybuilding training once I entered college in 2010 and competed for the first time in the fall of 2014.

How many competitions have you entered?

Over my three competition seasons, I have competed in 7 shows.

What was your best placing and where?

2017 WNBF Overall Figure World Champion

What is your most memorable moment competing so far?

Absolutely the moment I won the overall title at the 2017 WNBF World Championships!

What is your most surprising moment competing so far?

Same as above! When all the hard work, efforts, and prayers come together for the best finish a competition year could possibly have.

What was the best workout advice you received?

The most successful workout plan will be one that you can actually adhere to. The best results do not come from extremes. Extremes can bring results fast, but make sure your plan is maintainable and enjoyable! This is vital for long term success.

What advice about fitness, health, etc. would you like to share with our readers?

The mentality that you approach a competition prep or show season is very important. Recognize that competing is a privilege and an opportunity! Try to seek to make a bigger difference through your journey than just a trophy or title – those come every year and will fade. The most memorable experiences are the lives you touch and relationships you build along the way.

What do you like most about the WNBF?

I love the class of WNBF Figure as well as the drug testing standards – giving natural athletes the opportunity to compete on a world-class level.

Are you involved in any other parts of the sport? Training people? (Judging? Promoting?, etc.)

I currently work as a coach in both powerlifting and bodybuilding. I absolutely cherish the opportunity to help others reach their goals and achieve success.

What are your 2018 competition goals? Long range goals?

I hope to compete again in the fall of 2018 or 2019. It will depend on how my off season progress goes. I cannot wait to compete again in the future and defend my figure world title.

What does being a WNBF Pro mean to you?

It means the highest standard of natural bodybuilding and the opportunity to compete with some of the best athletes in the world. I am honored to represent such a respected organization.
